quickinfo

The suffix -e can only quite sporadically be seen in adjectival synthetic compounds of the pattern numeral + noun + suffix. Examples are twahanne two-hand-SUFF two-handed, trijetine three-prong-SUFF three-tined (as in in trijetine foarke a fork with three prongs) and trijetute three-nozzle-SUFF, as in in trijetute hoed a hat with three sides. In the latter two cases the suffix is not readily observable, since the base forms tine prong and tute nozzle their-selves also end in a schwa.
