1.2 The partitive adjective construction

Indefinite pronouns can be modified by a following adjective. In that case, the adjective is marked with –(e)s. This constructions is referred to as the partitive construction. Two examples are given below:

In Saterland Frisian, definite partitives as in (3) and (4) are not morphologically marked in the same way as are indefinite partitives. In this respect, they differ from partitive adjectives in West Frisian.
