This previous sections have discussed modification of spatial adpositional phrases. It has been shown that modification of locational phrases denoting a set of vectors is possible for orientation and distance. Modification of locational phrases denoting the null vector seems impossible, despite some seeming counterexamples. Directional phrases, finally, can occur with modifiers that indicate what part of the path denoted by the phrase is actually covered.
