Numeral suffixes
quickinfo

It is assumed here that within the area of derivation there is only one suffix to form numerals, i.e. -resom, as in fiifresomwith the five of us. Consequently there is only one possible base category, that is, this suffix can only be attached to another numeral.

It should be noted that there are also suffixes that are used to derive cardinal numbers and fractions. We have decided to deal with these topics under the heading of inflection.

For further information on numeral bases, see numeral as base . For a direct link to the suffix, see -resom .

The derivation of cardinals is dealt with in the topics on cardinal numbers . The derivation of fractions is discussed in a separate topic.
