Verb clusters may be nominalised. Put differently, verb-raising may apply within gerundial infinitives and within ordinary infinitives, which both have the external syntax of Noun Phrases (NPs).

Verb clusters may be nominalised, either as ordinary infinitives or as gerundial infinitives. An example of either is given below:
